• An SGC engineer will visit your property and complete a full survey, including the solar array and inverter if you have one, and make installation recommendations prior to the installation team arriving, so that everyone has a clear understanding of what the installation plan is. All of our installations are fitted to the latest revisions of MCS Battery Fitting Standards and all work is guaranteed with a certificated, insurance backed, warranty issued by the MCS. This ensures that in the unlikely event we went out of business you are fully covered for the work carried out.

  On-site Survey it may not be necessary to carry out a site visit, as we can assess compatibility remotely if it’s a standard installation. however we will require a complete overview about available space and the location of your consumer electrical unit via clear photographic proof 

  Number of Installers : Typically, Teams of two, Electrician and an assistant is sent to fit your new battery storage system. Our Lead Electrician responsible for ensuring the timely and high-standard completion of your installation and can answer any questions you may have at the time.

  Duration of Installation: Unlike solar PV system installations, which may take 1-2 days, battery installation is relatively simple and can be completed in a few hours.

  Preparation on Your End: You need to ensure that the installation area is accessible and clutter-free. Provide Our Electrician with access to the necessary spaces inside and outside your home or building, as well as to electricity supply, water, and a toilet if needed. Minimal disruption is promised and a tidy up before leaving.

  You will also need to share your WiFi access password if you want the installer to set up system monitoring on the day.

  Full Standard Installation: Installation included within our fixed price promise is your new New Energy Storage system will be installed to the latest revision of the MCS battery fitting Standards 

  Battery Upgrade included within our price ( Adding additional capacity to an already installed system) However in order for us to install additional capacity we are only permitted to carry this work out if the systems installation meets the latest MCS Installation requirements or bring systems up to the latest Installation standards ( Example Fitting Fire Detection / AC Isolation/ DC Isolation / SPD ( Surge Protection Device) which will incur an extra charge of £295.00

  Your battery will be capable of the following 

  • Store excess energy above your base load produced by your solar panels if fitted 
  • Facility to set a charge cycle to charge Batteries via the Grid ( ideally during off peak times to take advantage of off peak rate if available) 
  • Discharge/ Charge as per the current set out in the product datasheets

  EPS short for Emergency Power Supply, denotes the capability of a Solar PV System to seamlessly switch to powering essential circuits either automatically or manually using the battery storage system in the event of a power outage. The latest Hybrid solar inverters represent the next evolution in this technology, specifically engineered to offer EPS functionality. This feature aims to grant customers peace of mind by ensuring a continuous power supply during instances of power failure it does however this does require a bespoke installation at an extra cost please call 0333-222-5013 or talk with our surveyor during your site survey 

  There are loads of different configuration options but we recommend the following below 

  EPS ( Emergency Power Supply) 

  Upgrades available 

  • Rcd (Double Safety Socket) double socket located at the inverter IP rated for outside use ( Most economical option in most cases less than £150.00) 

  
  

  EPS (Emergency Power Supply ) full or part control (Bespoke Quote needed )

  • Selected circuits or full board control 
  • Auto transfer switch with relay 
  • Install Earth Rod 
  • Adjustments to the current wiring infrastructure

  After Installation: Once the installation is complete and the final balance is paid, We will provides a handover pack. This pack includes key information about your installed battery storage system and product warranties receipt invoices etc .

Ordering – Payments - Deposits

Normally, we will have carried out a survey, recommended a system that suits your requirements and either agreed the details with you or left you to finalise your decisions.

If you are confident that you know exactly what products you want, then you can place an order on our website by adding your items to your ‘basket’ and checking out your purchase when you’re done. Our system will prompt you to open an account so that we have all of the details necessary to provide your order, invoice, receipt, product certificates and warranties and of course to arrange delivery and installation.

You have the option of paying in full or paying a 25% deposit to activate your order, with the balance due once your installation is completed to your satisfaction. Payments can be made using debit or credit cards or, off-line, by bank transfer (which is quicker and cheaper for us but please use whichever method suits you best).
